Dr Nesrine Nasseur is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi (DOH) and the Health and Care Professions Council in the UK (HCPC). She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Essex, United Kingdom which included additional AFT-accredited systemic training. She also holds an MSc in Mindfulness: Neuroscience and Clinical Applications from King’s College London and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Her doctoral research examined mindfulness at the intersection of culture, religion and mental health in minoritised communities.

Nesrine has over ten years of clinical experience across NHS services including as a Senior psychologist in acute inpatient settings, and experience in CAMHS and specialist refugee trauma services. She has worked with individuals presenting with complex psychological difficulties and is trained in the Feeling Safe Programme for psychosis from Oxford University. Nesrine has contributed to multidisciplinary training, supervision and service development on trauma-informed care. Working from a formulation-led perspective that respects the unique relational and cultural context of individuals.

Nesrine provides assessment and treatment for trauma-related difficulties, anxiety and OCD, depression, attachment and relational challenges across adolescence and adulthood. She has pursued further training in her areas of interest including in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for adults and children and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) . She also has a clinical interest in the interaction between developmental trauma and neurodevelopmental differences and has undertaken further training in autism and ADHD assessment. Her work takes a holistic approach that aims to respect the unique story and background of each individual, and integrates systemic and culturally informed psychological interventions.
