Mohamad Naamani is a Senior Clinical Psychologist working within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service at Maudsley Health. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2015 and his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2018 from the American University of Beirut. He completed his clinical training at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre, with a focus on child and adolescent mental health. Mohamad has worked across governmental, non-governmental, and private sectors, contributing to projects and providing clinical care in support of children, adolescents, and their families in both Lebanon and the UAE.  

Mohamad has extensive training and experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of presentations, including neurodiversity, anxiety and mood disorders, and both acute and developmental emotional dysregulation with associated risks such as suicidality and self-harm. His work also involves supporting young people affected by both acute and developmental trauma. He offers individual short- and long-term psychotherapy, parenting support, and comprehensive diagnostic assessments. His practice is grounded in evidence-based assessment and intervention, incorporating psychometric testing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and the Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT).  

Mohamad is an accredited PACT practitioner through IMPACT UK and a certified provider of the Cool Kids Anxiety Programme through Macquarie University. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology, having completed postgraduate training in school neuropsychological assessment through the School Neuropsychology Institute. He has completed intensive supervised training in DBT with DBT MENA and the Behavioural Tech Institute and is currently pursuing accreditation in CBT through the Beck Institute, alongside specialised training in Trauma-Focused CBT with the University of Missouri-St Louis’ Missouri Academy for Child Trauma Studies.
