
Dr. Victoria Nicklin
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Victoria Nicklin is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Maudsley Health. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2013 and Batchelor of Science in Psychology and Criminology in 2002 both at Staffordshire University.
Victoria has 15 years experience of working in NHS mental health services in the UK. She has predominantly worked clinically in Early Intervention in Psychosis services providing therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing first episodes of psychosis.
Victoria completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Supervisory Practice in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) for Psychosis at Kings College London in 2022. She also delivered family interventions for psychosis and trained and supervised other members of multi-disciplinary staff in teams to deliver these interventions.
Prior to joining Maudsley Health, Victoria was the lead psychologist for Community Mental Health Teams and joint Personality and Complex Trauma Pathway lead at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. From this role she has publications associated with her being a principal investigator on a national randomized control trial with Imperial College London in the UK, exploring the effectiveness of a low intensity psychological intervention in NHS services for individuals with probable personality disorder.
Whilst working in Early Intervention Services and Community Mental Health Teams Victoria has worked with a range of complex mental health presentations. She is trained in CBT for Psychosis and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
