Farah Sabra obtained her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon, in 2005.
She brings over 19 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist across Lebanon, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. Early in her career, she worked with the Youth Association of the Blind in Beirut, before joining Handicap International as an Occupational Therapist and Technical Advisor, providing home adaptations, assistive devices, and family support for injured individuals and refugees during emergencies. She later worked in Cairo for several years, training with international occupational therapists from around the world while treating children with a wide range of developmental and neurological conditions. Farah also developed the Paediatric Occupational Therapy service at the Effective Learning Foundation, a private centre in Cairo, where she supervised a multidisciplinary team and introduced school-based therapy across three international schools. Since relocating to the UAE in 2016, she has worked at Kalimati Centre and subsequently at NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi, where she established Occupational Therapy services within the Child Development Department and led the therapy team.
Farah specialises in paediatric occupational therapy, with expertise in developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing difficulties, and neurological conditions. She has a strong interest in supporting children and families through school-based interventions, early intervention, and collaborative multidisciplinary care. She is passionate about creating tailored solutions that help individuals function at their best and achieve their personal goals.
