Huda Al Bukhari is a Clinical Psychologist at Maudsley Health, working with the Child and Adolescent
Mental Health Service. In 2022, Huda completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the Australian
Catholic University in Sydney, Australia. Huda is a licensed Psychologist with the Australian Health
Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH).
Huda has three years of training and working experience in Australia. She has worked with children,
adolescents, teachers and parents, in both a private practice and community health setting. Her main focus
was providing psychological therapy and/or support to young people and their families. In addition, Huda
has conducted comprehensive assessments, focusing on the assessment and diagnosis of
neurodevelopment disorders including specific learning disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder.
Huda supports children and adolescents presenting with a range of emotional, social and behavioural
challenges including interpersonal difficulties, anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviours, and obsessive–
compulsive disorders. When working with children and adolescents, Huda utilises evidence-based
interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Exposure and
Response Prevention Therapy. Most importantly, Huda’s practice is grounded in being culturally
sensitive, collaborative and empowering young people and their families.
