Clinical Psychologist
Maryam AlBarguthi holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from United Arab Emirates University (Al Ain, UAE), completed in 2022 and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Zayed University (Dubai, UAE), where she graduated with honors. Her academic journey has equipped her with a solid foundation in psychological theory and therapeutic practice.
She has nearly two years of clinical experience at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City – Behavioural Sciences Pavilion (SKMC – BSP), where she primarily worked with young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Her role also included conducting psychological assessments for children and working collaboratively with psychiatrists as part of a multidisciplinary inpatient team. Additionally, she worked at Lifeworks Holistic Centre (Dubai, UAE), where she provided individual therapy and psychological evaluations across a range of cases.
Her clinical focus includes the treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. She also has experience working with borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Her therapeutic approach integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), psychotherapy, talk therapy, narrative therapy, and psychoanalysis.
