Dr. Madonna Yanni

Dr. Madonna Yanni graduated with an MBBch from Cairo University. She continued her professional development, obtaining board certification in Psychiatry and achieving membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). Dr Madonna currently works clinically in the Intellectual Disabilities Clinical Academic Group at Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, Dubai.

With over a decade of clinical experience Dr. Yanni has served in diverse psychiatric settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, and community outreach programs.  She has specialist interest in Perinatal mental health and extensive experience supporting adults with Intellectual Disabilities. Passionate about holistic and inclusive mental health care, she continually seeks to bridge gaps in psychiatric services for underserved populations.

Dr. Madonna has significant clinical expertise in addressing mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, and addiction emergencies. Working within a multidisciplinary team, she offers holistic evidence-based psychiatric assessment, and treatment including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), always with a focus on a patient centred approach. Her dedication to enhancing patient experiences has led her to governance roles, driving quality improvement projects and involvement in clinical psychiatry guidance aimed at refining mental health services. 

Dr. Madonna is passionate about raising mental health awareness and tackling stigma. She has appeared on notable TV, radio stations and podcasts as a subject matter expert encouraging open discussion and sharing knowledge on mental health to the public.

Dr Madonna is actively involved in teaching and training of Medical Students, and holds an adjunct faculty position with the Medical College at the prestigious University of Sharjah, UAE. She has participated in clinical research and presented on a variety of topics at regional and international Mental Health Conferences.
