Soha is a senior occupational therapist with over 12 years of experience in Occupational Therapy, Hospital Development and Commissioning, Project Management, Clinical Rehabilitation and Training.
Soha has a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Toronto, Canada. She has worked in various posts clinically and in research, such as the Peterborough Regional Health Center, Providence Care Mental Health Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, and Queen’s University. Soha also successfully led the development of the Occupational Therapy department and services, at a new center of excellence and CARF accredited mental health and addiction rehabilitation hospital in Qatar.
Throughout her career, Soha has been recognised as a passionate and dedicated therapist, as well as a Subject Matter Expert in Occupational Therapy and Service Development, utilising evidence-based practices supported by research. She has participated in various community educational and awareness campaigns in Canada and Qatar, presented at international conferences, and has served as an Adjunct Academic staff at Queen’s University.
Soha is a licensed Occupational Therapist in Canada, Qatar, and the UAE, and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Her clinical expertise areas include Forensic Psychiatry, Addiction Rehabilitation, and mental health recovery. Soha has received training in Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness interventions, early Substance Use Disorder (SUD) recovery, and Concurrent Disorders management.
