Executive Assistant and Assistant Psychologist
Maryam is a Zayed University graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. In her senior year, she took a significant step in her academic career by conducting an in-depth research study on personality development in children.
With a strong academic foundation, she has applied her knowledge into practice, gaining valuable experience as a social worker in a private school. In this role, she supported first graders’ emotional and social development, fostering a nurturing environment for their learning and growth.
Additionally, Maryam has a keen interest in adult mental health and has successfully completed her internship training at one of the Centers for Addictions in Abu Dhabi. Her hands-on experience in educational and rehabilitation settings has deepened her understanding of psychological principles and reinforced her commitment to making a positive impact within her community.
Maryam is a DOH-licensed Assistant Psychologist at Maudsley Health, supporting both adult mental health and specialist services by assisting the clinical teams with their daily activities, clinical assessments and interpretation. Maryam aims to enhance her knowledge and gain experience to support her ambitions to pursue postgraduate training.
Maryam is also the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Maudsley Health. She plays a crucial part in collaborating with the management team, supporting service development activities, and helping to identify areas for improvement while formulating approaches that consider Emirati and other cultural differences.
