Shaima holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in clinical psychology from United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain, UAE. Her academic background has equipped her with a strong understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic practices.
With experience in psychology, she has trained in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Outpatient Departments, utilising therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression, behavioural activation, and the STAIR protocol.
She is also actively engaged in research focused on depressive symptoms and body image satisfaction in women, driven by a commitment to advancing mental health and improving overall psychological wellbeing.
Currently, she works as an HR Officer, where she integrates psychological principles to enhance employee wellbeing and organisational effectiveness. This role allows her to bridge her clinical background with organisational responsibilities.
